The Town of Smooth Rock Falls will be hosting a Peaceful Rally on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Moose Motel, in solidarity with our neighbouring Northern Ontario communities. Together, we are calling on the Province of Ontario to take urgent action regarding the dangerous conditions on Highway 11 and Highway 17. These highways are vital lifelines for Northern Ontario. Without reliable alternate routes, unsafe conditions and highway closures can isolate entire communities, delay emergency services, disrupt supply chains, and put residents, workers, and travelers at serious risk.
