The theme for Black History Month 2025 is Black Legacy and Leadership: Celebrating Canadian History and Uplifting Future Generations.
Every February, people across Canada participate in Black History Month events and festivities that honour the legacy of Black Canadians and their communities.
No matter where you live, we invite all Canadians to learn more about these communities, and how they continue to help shape the story of Canada.
Smooth Rock Falls will be flying a Black History Month flag for the entire month of February and will be sharing educational information on our Facebook page throughout the month to educate the community.
