Smooth Rock Falls is very proud to be able to offer our families a choice of sending their children to an English or a French school – both in town!
The town also boasts an EarlyOn Child and Family Centre for the little ones, and everyone can continue their education remotely studying in French with Collège Boréal or in English with Contact North.

The EarlyOn Child and Family Centre is pleased to help parents and caregivers access programs and services towards healthy development of children and families in our community. They provide playgroups, information sessions and parenting groups.

Smooth Rock Falls Public School
The Smooth Rock Falls Public School, housed at the Basil Merchant Education Centre, is governed by the District School Board Ontario North East (DSBONE), and offers an English educational system to students ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Students in grades 7 to 12 are bussed to the neighboring community of Kapuskasing, 65 kilometres west on Highway 11.
