The Town of Smooth Rock Falls is inviting proposals from qualified firms and consultants to provide professional consulting services to update the Town’s existing Official Plan, replacing the current version (as amended).

🔹 Project Objective
The objective of this project is to modernize and enhance the existing Official Plan by integrating updated policies from the Provincial Policy Statement 2020 and other relevant, provincially approved legislation and planning documents. The updated Official Plan will reaffirm and refine the Town’s long-term vision, with a focus on:

• Economic and sustainable growth

• A strong, resilient, and vibrant community

• Environmental responsibility and stewardship

🔹 Consultation & Engagement
A key part of this project will involve engaging with Council, municipal staff, community partners, and the public to ensure inclusive input and a collaborative approach. This engagement will help guide a smooth and successful implementation of the updated plan.
