Please be advised pushing snow across a road or street onto the other side is considered a violation under the Highway Traffic Act. The snow must be kept on your property when it comes to snow removal or disposed at an approved Snow Dump location within the Town of Smooth Rock Falls. The map can be found below.

Be a good neighbour…. Please be mindful of where you dump your snow. Do not dump snow on private/neighbouring properties, do not dump snow at a height where it would obscure exiting a driveway, and do not dump snow on municipal roads.

Be mindful of your parking… Do not leave vehicles parked on the municipal roads – parked vehicles on the street interferes with snow removal, failure to obey may result in the impound of your vehicle at your expense.

Waste/recycling bins winter placement… do not place bins on the road, sidewalk or behind or on top of a snowbank.

Fire Hydrants: Attention property owners with fire hydrants near their driveway, please do not bury the hydrant with snow. Hydrants should be easily located by the Fire Department in the event of a fire and for Public Works to locate the hydrant for snow removal purposes.
