Attention Residents
We want to acknowledge what many residents are seeing and experiencing across the community.
We are aware that certain roads remain rough, that certain sidewalks have not yet been cleared, and road widening is still required in several areas.
This winter has been out of the ordinary. The volume of snow has exceeded normal conditions, and all designated snow storage areas are currently at capacity. Simply put, there is very little room left to move additional snow.
Our Public Works crew has been working tirelessly throughout the entire winter to keep roads open and navigable for residents. At this time, efforts are focused on flood prevention, including clearing storm drains and ensuring proper drainage as temperatures fluctuate.
As a small team, Public Works cannot address all concerns at once. Work is being carried out based on priority, with flood prevention and public safety at the top of the list.
We are asking for the public’s patience and understanding as this work continues.
We also remind residents that respect toward our employees is expected at all times. Vulgar language, aggressive behaviour, or disrespectful conduct toward Public Works employees or contractors will not be tolerated.
We thank our Public Works team for their continued hard work, long hours, and dedication to keeping our community safe.
Thank you to all residents for your patience and cooperation.
